Our Staff

The staff of Pulaarvik Kablu Friendship Centre numbers about 22, and these are scattered all over town, offering various programs. Most of the staff are Inuit, and most are originally from Rankin Inlet or other communities in the region.

Noella Nipisar is our receptionist. If you walk into the Centre’s main office, you will likely be greeted by Noella, who answers the phone and handles office logistics. Noella is an accomplished seamstress who often works on five parkas at once.

George Dunkerley, Executive Director of Pulaarvik, came North nine years ago with Northern Stores. George has been Director of Pulaarvik Kablu Friendship Centre since August 2003. He is responsible for seeing that some thirteen programs all operate smoothly, and spends much of his time on the phone, making sure all goes well.
